We are committed to ensuring full accessibility for all participants, both onsite and online. The conference is designed to be architecturally, digitally, and information-communicationally accessible for individuals with disabilities.
Architectural Accessibility (Onsite Participation)
The onsite events will take place at Humanitas University (ul. Kilińskiego 43, Sosnowiec), a venue adapted to meet the needs of individuals with various disabilities:
- Accessible parking: Reserved spaces for individuals with disabilities are located near the main entrance.
- Entry access: The main entrance features a stair platform lift with a call button system for assistance.
- Elevator access: A side entrance with an elevator provides step-free access, connecting all floors from ground level. Additional parking for individuals with disabilities is located nearby.
- Accessible restrooms: Each floor of the building has designated restrooms for individuals with disabilities.
Hearing assistance: The reception area, auditorium, and lecture rooms are equipped with induction loops to support individuals with hearing impairments. - Onsite assistance: Participants can request mobility assistance when registering for the conference. A designated assistant will be available to help navigate the venue if needed.
Digital Accessibility (Online Participation)
- The conference website is fully compliant with WCAG guidelines, ensuring ease of access for users with disabilities.
- Automated live transcription will be available for all online sessions, allowing individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to follow presentations in real time.
- The website also includes an Accessibility Menu, accessible via the wheelchair-user icon in the bottom left corner of the page. This menu allows users to customize their browsing experience with options such as contrast adjustments, link highlighting, larger text, text spacing adjustments, pause animations, hide images, dyslexia-friendly mode, bigger cursor, tooltips, line height adjustments, text alignment settings, and saturation controls.
Informational & Communication Accessibility
- A conference help desk will be available on the ground floor throughout the event to provide organizational assistance.
- Clear wayfinding signage will be placed throughout the venue, indicating session locations, the conference help desk, the elevator, and accessible restrooms.
- All participants will receive a detailed conference program. Some materials will be available in large print for individuals with visual impairments.
- Sign language interpreters will be available upon request.
- If additional needs arise, reasonable accommodations will be provided based on individual requirements.
